    While most recommendations make perfect sense and match closely what I remember from civil defense training, I have serious doubts about seeking “shelter in place” above 9th floor.

    Immediately after the detonation secondary fires represent greater danger than radiation fallout. Many buildings this tall are essentially glass over steel frame and will offer little protection anyway.
